when is the best time to go to your casino to find weak poker players?

poker players
viensmevoir asked:

i found that going on weekdays at about 10:00pm is best for me. many of the players that are there during the work day are really strong, although the ones that brag that they dont have to work are usually weaker.

anyway, im looking for the time of the week when there are the most catalysts (players that straddle every UTG) and loose players (players that seemingly want to play every rag card they get and regularly call pot sized bets chasing draws). these are without a doubt the most profitable tables. when do these situations arise at your casino?

Find out when “happy hour” is, if they serve booze. LOL

Sort of depends upon your game and where you are. Generally the fish that you are seeking are easy to spot and I don’t know that there is a specific time. If you are in Vegas, a lot of conventions run from 8 to 5:30 so those gamblers tend to have a game before dinner and after and are there during the week.

It depend where you are and for which game, it depend an a lot of thing! But generally speaking, week ends. It’s when tourist come to play after their week of work. But don’t worry to much about the ” when to go” poker is so popular right now you will find plenty of weaker players any day of the week.

Take care

McDonald’s does very intense market research when they open a new restaurant. Because of this many companies use a “follow McDonald’s” growth strategy, and will only open a new location within sight of a McDonald’s restaurant.

You can do something similar. Casinos know when the loose money is around, and they respond by raising the room rates in their hotels. If you check room rates on their website, you’ll find out when the loose players are in town.

But what you’ll largely find is holidays weekends are the best, followed by Friday and Saturday nights.

Nights and weekends. The later at night, the better usually. This is when many of the players who’ve been losing are desperately trying to get back to even and unsuccessful/ desperate players playing looser than normal often equals very easy money.

Never if you ask me. There will almost always be a pro at the table. Most people don’t play poker unless they know how. It’s not fun to lose large amounts of money. Unless you are very rich and just don’t care. And with Texas Hold em they will come 24 hrs. a day.

in general, the time to play is in odd hours, late at night/early in the morning, because that is when the losing players will be trying to win their money back, and they will generally be the only players there…that is the best time to find the dead money and give yourself the best chance at a profit

From 5:00 Friday night til 11:00 or so Sunday night is just beautiful.

And moreso than those that chase draws without proper odds, it’s the ones that call all their chips away with top pair that you want to play.
