what game…there are about a dozen different poker games
download poker software like pokerstars.net,partypoker.net,fulltiltpoker.net just play it and you`ll learn by yourself or you could read how to play the game on the website it`ll explain how to play diffrent types of poker

I would suggest a book or two you should be able to find one on amazon for under $5 plus try a poker website like party poker but remember If your not playing for real money people will play completely different than if you are putting up cash so the only way to get good is to be willing to lose some money while you learn.
Sure you can go to all of the sites that these people have suggested, I learned from my grandpa who was a professional poker player in his younger days. Later on I started playing on line and eventually I sat in on a couple of home games. Eventually I stared getting invited to private games and then on to larger venues. That is the best way to learn, particularly if you like to play all kinds of different games (i.e. Omaha 8, stud, etc.) The big thiing right now is Texas Hold’em, because it is very easy to learn. I have visited the Poker Coach’s site and it is useful. Start there or any site that allows you to play for free, but the best learning experience is with people one-on-one. It is more exciting and helps you learn strategies and witness betting patterns. Gamble Responsible….and have fun!
First read the rules on and read some of their other articles as well. Those will give you a good head start.
